Pulau Ubin Announcement :

"Warning Warning! Radar shows a tribe of 307 people coming towards this island. They will most likely reach on 6th December , which is this coming Sunday. Radar also detects that the tribe is carrying a flag with it's tribe name on it. Wait wait , it's name is Asher! Statistics has shown that they are among the finest tribes in the world. They keep marching on and shout "Asher thrashes"! Please take good care of your properties and yourself because they are going to turn this island up-side down"!

However , during their devotion time , they sense God telling them that their hometown will be attacked by the forces of darkness on this coming Sunday! What a coincidence!

So they decided to send their only seven prophets to conquer the island for them while the Spartans of the tribe went back to defend their hometown.

The flag of Gad is a military camp, which represents the position the church must take in this hour. This is the "Gad Generation" and we will be known as the determinators!

SOOOO EXCITED FOR THE EVENT UTRIBE!!

Today I will be sharing the history of Gad Tribe!!

"Gad" means Mazal Tav, "good luck" or Gedud “Troop”

Gad was the seventh son of Jacob. He was the founder of the tribe of Gad. He made the journey with Jacob and the family from Padan Aram to Canaan, and later, to Egypt. In the census taken in the second year after the Exodus, the tribe of Gad numbered 46,650 (Numbers 2: 14-15).

At the time of the second census, there were 40,500 (Numbers 26:18). In the blessing of Jacob (Genesis 49:19) it is said, "Gad a troop shall tramp upon him, but he shall triumph at last." In the blessing of Moses (Deuteronomy 33:20), it is said, "Blessed is he who enlarges Gad.".
In Revelation 7:7, Gad is among the tribes who are promised the Seal of God for 12,000 of its members.

This tribe was fierce and warlike; they were “strong men of might, men of war for the battle that could handle shield and buckler, their faces the faces of lions, and like roes upon the mountains for swiftness”

So watch out other tribes of UTRIBES!!!

We're gonna be the FIRST TRIBE to start off this whole blog post competition! So I'll make sure it's gonna be very BOOMZ!

First of all, I am proud to present to you my tribe members!

And last but not least, myself from W459! (In case you don't know what's my name, my name is JASMIN!)

Here's a story to share with you guys!

Since you guys have read the legend of the Ubin, I'm gonna share with you how REUBEN is gonna secure their land.

Here goes!

Pulau Ubin literally means "Granite Island". Pulau Ubin is located at 12312m eastward of the main island, Singapore. The Reubenites have been natives in Ubin ever since Singapore became independent.

Because of the abundance of granite in their land, the Reubenites were very prosperous till date. And the other 5 tribes namly:

Shakerfry tribe led by Jonathon

Superjunior tribe led by Jeremiah

Gossipgirls tribe led by Joelynn

Boys over flower tribe by Karuna

and

Faber Drive tribe by Yuan Jin.
were all jealous of the Reubenites. They wanted their wealth. They had the best things there.

Even though the 5 tribes weren't on very good terms but they have came to agreement to gang up together to get Ubin.

On the 22nd March, Jonathon, Jeremiah, Joelynn, Karuna and Yuan Jin decided to meet up in Changi Village St 12 at 11:59:48 to discuss the plan to kill Reuben's people and divide their land.
They chose an auspicious date, and got all their weapons ready and swam to Ubin to avoid creating suspicion from the Reubenites.

(Cues in Evil laughters)

The 5 tribes were rather smart to a certain extent. They knew that the Reuben tribe are the highly favored ones in God's eyes. So the Shakerfry tribe bought some bibles and started reading.

They found out in the book of Joshua that as they marched around the walls of Jericho everyday and the last day the walls finally came down. As there weren't walls in Ubin, so they decided to swim around Ubin for 7 days and hope that God would help them to get the land.

But they actually forgot to read the new testament of the bible! And didn't realise this very important verse 'If my God is for me, then who can be against me?' Obviously God is against them as they want to conquer the land of Reubenites!

(Cues in 'OH NO!' and GASP!)

When they finish doing that, and got up to Ubin, the granites fell on them and killed all the Shakerfry tribe.

The Shakerfry tribe was defeated on day 1. Mission failed.

Day 1: Shakerfry tribe vs Reuben tribe, Reuben wins!

Here comes the Superjunior tribe.
And they thought they could impress the Reubenites with their dance moves and their latest most in and hip song, Sorry sorry. Guess what? Sorry sorry to them, and they failed badly as well because they didn't know that the Reubenites have got O school dancers who can dance much better than them.Here comes the Superjunior tribe.

Day 2: Superjunior tribe vs Reuben tribe, Reuben wins!

After hearing that Shakerfry tribe and Superjunior tribe lost to Reuben, the Gossipgirls tribe was a little afraid.

The Gossipgirls tribe broke the 9th commandment (apparently they didn't read the bible), You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

And that fateful night, God sent a lightning to strike them in their camp site and all perished just because they did not lead a righteous life.

Day 3: Gossipgirls tribe vs Reuben tribe, Reuben wins!

Now Boys over flower tribe heard about what happened to the 3 tribes that went ahead to fight, they decided to come up with another plan. They decided to compete against the Reubenites, by sending out their most handsome young men for a beauty pageant.

They did not know that other than having granites in their land, they have the most number of handsome young men! So they sent out their best.

The judges came from all the nations and they passed out the verdict, Reuben tribe wins!

If God is for Reuben tribe, then who can be against them. Even though Boys over flower tribe has lots of handsome young men, but they don't have the God element in them.

Day 4: Boys over flower tribe vs Reuben tribe, Reuben wins!

Last and final day of the battle.

Faber Drive tribe heard about what happened to the previous 4 tribes they came up with a song and wanted to challenge them with the bands there. Faber Drive tribe didn't do enough research and didn't realise that their praise and worship band was so good as they had Reuben Morgan inside!

(Cues in 'King of Majesty', 'This is My Desire')

The Reubenites praised and worshiped God all day long and by the time Faber Drive tribe arrived, the presence of God was so strong in that place. The Faber Drive tribe actually felt the presence and began to flee.

Praise and worship is the key to all the battles.

Day 5: Faber Drive tribe vs Reuben tribe, Reuben wins!

(Cues in victory cries)

After the 5 days of battle with the 5 tribes, the Reubenites won!

Legend of Ubin

Hey U-Tribe!

Wanna hear the legend of Ubin??
okay, you got to read this anywayys. hahaha.

Legend has it that Pulau Ubin was formed when three animals from Singapore challenged each other to a race to reach the shores of Johor.

The animals were,

a FROG

a PIG

& an ELEPHANT

The animals that failed would turn to stone. All three came across many difficulties and were unable to reach the shores of Johor. Therefore, the elephant and pig together turned into Pulau Ubin whilst the frog became Pulau Sekudu or Frog Island.

I think right the frog was a little faster than the pig and elephant that's why he can be a single island by himself loh. not bad right, frog rocks! i think..

COOL RIGHT, so that very day when we reach Ubin, we're actually stepping on the elephant and pig that failed to reach the shores of Johor.

Poor pig and elephant! :(

Moral of the story, please learn how to swim, or swim faster! hahahaha.

#3 - OUT TO PULAU UBIN!

On 20Nov2009, U-Tribe's mini committee group comprising of Edwin, Angel, Xinying, Joel, Kenrick, Gouwei, Yuda, Jason, went down to Pulau Ubin ~~and got bitten by mosquitos~~ to finalise every details you guys are going to do that very fateful 6 Dec! It's 19 MORE DAYS to this event and let's prepare for this exciting day!

Kelvin also said during the last meeting on Saturday that this event is evangelistic! So let's invite our friends to have fun on 6 Dec 2009!

HELLO U-TRIBE!

Our event will be held on 6 Dec 2009!
We will be taking a ferry down to Palau Ubin tt very day and have a great time on that very island!
If you never take a ferry before, this will be your first one, and it will definitely be very exciting! BOOMZ!~
